Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about my coaching practice:

So, what is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is helpful for someone who is feeling a little bit stuck in life, or who wants to achieve a particular goal and needs some support. If you’re struggling with your relationships, want more self confidence, need help finding motivation to move forward with a project or goal, need help with parenting, or want to learn how to communicate better…these are all things that I can help you with. In fact, you can find lasting transformation in how you interact with the world. You can learn how to show up as your best self every single day. That’s pretty great, right?
In contrast, therapy is geared more toward helping people with mental illnesses, processing past traumas, and delving into childhood issues. If you’re looking for a diagnosis, you need to see a therapist. If you’re experiencing severe depression or anxiety, I suggest seeing a therapist. If you’re battling OCD or eating disorders, then you’re looking for a therapist.

While therapy looks to your past self to define your present, coaching looks to your future self to define your present. So if you’re feeling like things are pretty good when they could be really great, coaching can help you. If you feel like sometimes you lack the confidence you need in your relationships or at work, coaching can help you. If you’re trying to move forward with a big project or goal but can’t seem to get forward momentum, coaching can help you. If you need help with communication skills, coaching can help you.

I want to help you more easily navigate life’s challenges. I want you to live your life more intentionally. By changing your focus, you will be amazed at all you can accomplish, and feel good while doing it!
Using the skills I teach, you can strengthen your relationships and understand the power you have over your own emotions. Being more mindful of how you’re affected by things that happen in your life allows you to live as the best possible version of yourself: more confident, more calm, more empowered, more productive.
I mainly use the principles of CBT (I’m currently working on my Level 3 certification) to help you understand where you can make changes to set you on a path to more peace and confidence with yourself.

Because this work is a process, I do not offer one-off coaching sessions, as that would be completely useless to you and your progress. You can purchase a set of five 50 minute sessions to be used within a three month period (though a weekly session is preferable) for $625. Sessions must be used by the same person. Payments can be made via Venmo or PayPal. All coaching sessions are conducted over Zoom.
Let’s meet up and see if we’re a good fit! If you think you might be interested, please schedule a free 15 minute zoom call so you can see if you feel like we’ll work well together before you invest any money. Click the “Get Started” button below or send me an email so we can schedule your free call.

I am not contracted with any insurance companies.

Looking for a quick answer to a question, or just feel like you want to chat? I’m available for office hours every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Pacific Time. If you call during that time and I don’t answer, it means I’m already talking to someone else. Feel free to leave a message and I’ll call you back if I still have time available during my office hours. 408-905-8380
